Thanks for the reply Susan, it was a link from you that got me to the k-list
in the first place. So my kundalini is awake now...cool!!!. Although it
doesnt feel like it is right now, nothing much has happened since then,
except that i have noticed that i am more aware of peoples feelings and
intentions, as well seeing sparks of light quite often (although this was
happeneing before the november 3 incident), as well as having more chi(maybe
thats from practice), noticing the aura in my hands gettting stronger as i
move the energy through them.

I think kundalini might have been awake before this though. I remember
being woken up in the middle of the night with an intense feeling coming
from my heart chakra, i cannot describe it but it was very positive, love.
But it went away as i started to wake up. I've grown quite a bit over the
past year when i think of how i was...glad things are in motion.

I got so exicted when i found kundalini-teacher.com. It has so much very
useful info.

As to Hatsumi having a different focus now...i don't think that is entirley
true. Its the nature of the art that we study, ura and omote. The ura is
hidden while the omote is shown, by its nature you cant see the ura untill
you have the eyes and heart to see it. This years theme is Roppo kuji no
Biken, and if you had been to japan you would have noticed that the
spiritual side of things is being explored. For example: Two guys from my
dojo went to the hombu at the start of the year and i had an opportunity to
talk to one of them while on the train back from training. The book of five
rings and The life giving sword were studied (there may be more...the
unfetered mind by Takuan Soho, but those two are ones i know for sure)
Hatsumi said that musahi didnt go far enough; to stop at the void is not all
there is. There are more than five levels, there is actually a sixth, the
spirit world. We must be able to operate in both the physical and the
spiritual. Live the dual mandala. (people here would already know about
this, but i am just saying it to illustrate that the enlightenment aspect is
still a very real part in the Bujinkan) I would like to hear your
perspective on how things have changed. I've only been training for about
two and a half years.
Has anyone noticed that the kuji sybol looks like a representation of the
Godai. The left half looks like a floating spirit (to me anyway) and the
right half looks like the Godai, although not a straight spine, its a
metaphor maybe. its hard to explain.
I do know what you are talking about though in regards to satori in the
Bujinkan. It like a taboo subject, its annoying, and a bit rediculous.
They all want to hide there knowledge, which in the end ammounts to nothing.
I've stoped even attempting to talk about pretty much anything related to
energy, chakras etc, i did a little in the begining but now why bother
anyway, i can find my own way, i have so far.
I don't think it really matters if the mob thinks Glenn is crazy. As long
as some understand, then does it really matter. Hatsumi understands, and he
is Soke, maybe he has adjusted his teaching for the crowd and now uses
Kyojustu tenkan ho to get his message accross. I can see it in his recent
writings. Its like the densho, even if you read it you won't get it, my
understanding is that you only get the densho after you pretty much
understand it. They are reference points. Again i'm interesting Glenn and
your perspectives on this.
I'm training with a guy who's pretty
good. When you guys come in december, maybe you could visit.

Yes i am vulnuralble to attack, especialy in dreams. But its difficult to
know whether the attackings are coming from outside, or are aspects of my
shadow self. I have some very weird but intersting dreams that i could
relate, as i sort of dont get them. I have had death come visit, which for
however hard i tried to kil it, i could not. But i didnt become deathly ill
later, and i think it might be because my teacher helped me out in the
dream. I just felt AWFUL when i woke up. If you like i could tell you the
dreams that i think were very relevent to my spirit, and maybe we could nut
them out and learn some guidance form them. (it just means more typing and
this is turning out to be a long post anyway). There have been occasions
were i have fought and absolutly destroyed a demon, i woke up feeling very
exilerated. This was before i found out about it being better to give up
fear and anger, in the face of theses things. I read a story of the Budda
being attacked by a great demon, with an army of many thousands demons. The
shot flaming arrows and had all sorts of weapons, but the Budda just smiled
and laughed, and could not affect him.
However is it ok to give them a whooping?

Since i have a lot of free time, i'm going to start doing the practices in
path notes, and shadow strategies (i am already doing some: Budo Taijutsu
heh)

I have a bad problem with my upper back, its curved (Schuremenns disease
sp?: this is were the vertebra have become slightly wedge shaped which
creates the curve, i am seeing a phsyiotherapist though), and i have slight
scoliosis. How will this affect me, "kundalini like a straight spine etc"

Also, what do you think of me hearing about Jesus in the last incident?

I dont know much about hte different gods/goddesse. a.k.a Kali, except for
what i read in shadow strategies. Could you say something on that?

In regards to the kamae, i have noticed that when i hold ichimonji no kamae
i feel energy energy moving...the Boss always goes to ichmonji before doko.
I think this is a clue as to how he moves energy when moving through the
kamae. Its seems like he pulls the energy up into ichimonji, then expands
it more when going into doko (which is like he is getting ready to through a
spear). Maybe his focus in training is not to concentrate on any one aspect
of the Godai or kamae as some previoulsly thought, but to always move
naturally between all and finnaly to give up the forms and live.
