High energy levels and subsquent burning up the adrenal glands are
sometimes typical experiences of the kundalite. It doesn't have to be.
Keeping the body hydrated is a very small thing that people can do to
prevent this. Also, keeping the tongue down from the roof of the mouth
will slow the energy down. Good to know when one tries to sleep at night
and can't.

Left sided nostril breathing will also cool down the energy and make it
more yin in quality. Kundalini, when it is first rising, can be very
yang and that is where all the energy and potential harm comes from.
Doing yin processes like sitting in the full moon light helps. Moon
baths can be very soothing. (close the right nostril and breathe full
from your belly.)

What all these posted symptoms and experiences show are high stimulation
of the sympathetic nervous system (yang response). Prolonged stimulation
will lead to adrenal exhaustion and post tramautic stress syndrome with
after effects like psychosis and depression. This used to be called
battle fatigue years ago. Also the immune system becomes severely
depressed.

Most of OSHOs stuff is meant to stimulate kundalini activity. Once it's
going it is time to back off and relax from all those yang exercises. It
is hard to do because they feel so damn good when they are going on.
It's like someone with bipolar disorder. They often love their manic
phases cause it feels so good and this can be a reason why they come off
their medication.

Doing things that stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (yin
response) will help balance the sympathetic nervous system. That would
be something like quiet meditation or just watching your breath. Being
in the company of women who are mature in their spiritual development
can help

Take care of your adrenals. They can take a long, long time to repair.
Chi kung can really help one here because you are truly suffering from
chi depletion. Anything that helps rebuild chi will help with your
adrenals.

Dear Deesutra,

       I forgot to mention one very important detail that played a part
in
the changes in my life and that is I burned up my adrenal gland. My
production today is a fraction of what it should produce normaly and I
have
learned to be moderate in my energy expenditures. I would caution
anyone
with an awakening kundalini to take great care with hydration and rest
so as
not to burn out this very important gland. My wife also suffer from a
severly depleted adrenal gland although hers was from being a downhill
ski
racer in the olimpics and cancer at 19 and the chemo therapy as
kundalini
has come later in her life. It sounds as if you might of done this as
well.
