Dear List,

I too have an awakened kundalini, and I too have a mental illness. At first
I was a bit reluctant to post about it but I just said hell with it and here
it goes. In the beginning I had many divine experiences, and even after the
beginning. But it was too much for my mind to handle, and I went into a
state of psychosis, and had to go to the hospital. My mind was absolutely
gone. But some anti psychotic medication brought my mind back to normal,
although I still have kundalini experiences and what not. I tell you
truthfully friends, I have been through the utter depths of hell. I have not
been diagnosed with anything, however I believe that I have schizophrenia,
and I have a lot of symptoms of it. I won't describe any of my horrendous
experiences which I suffer through, but I will tell you this: I have been
through the depths of hell. Much like Gopi Krishna went through, but much
worse at times. And its no picnic suffering the symptoms of Schizophrenia
either. Thanks for listening, take care everyone.

Hi Rob,

Like yourself I was diagnosed bipolar after a K-awakening, that caused very
extreme experiences and psychosis at first, and after having started
body/dancework very intensively I had another period of a few years in which
I discovered it was kundalini (did not know this at first) and had many
extreme experiences including experiencing past-life happenings and cruel
deaths etc - intensive heat very often.
I tend to say it is both: for me I am bipolar (or have MDS like we say in
Holland) ánd I experienced K-awakening. I am still taking medication since I
experience strong suicidal psychotic episodes, and I would not want that to
happen, having two small children. I do feel that lately I learn much more
about energy coming in from others (and me wrongly identifying with it - so
I learn to let go now) and about me loosing energy to others.
Saying I am bipolar ánd experiencing K also opens up the possibility that
regular psychiatrists maybe one day will seriously look at this. As a start:
in the next magazine of the dutch patiëntsorganization for bipolars will be
an article from me on my K-experiences for the first time.

I hope this contributes anything to the discussion,

warm greetings,
Jose
