I've gone through several of these periods, as if all the life force had been
drained from the world. The most memorable of these times lasted about 6
months and I mistakenly took it for some sort of realization, as in, is this all
there is? In fact, this time was a preparatory period to the deeper, joyful,
increased capacity for non-dual seeing that followed. Everything became alive
and soaked with meaning. Almost all apathetic periods seem to be followed by
deeper seeing for me, as if the psyche need to shut down while work is done
on it. So hang in there and enjoy loving your baby! Holly
