I currently live in the center of New York. I decided a few weeks ago to
seek employment in a smaller, more nourishing environment. A great job
opportunity emerged that would have had me remain in NYC. I initially
concluded that on balance this made sense. However, a day or so of
reflection made clear that staying in the city would be highly
detrimental to my well being, that a more nourishing environment was not
merely a pleasant aspiration, it is essential. I rejected the notion of
staying in New York as a body rejects foreign tissue, viscerally and
with prejudice.

This may be the first time in my life I have overridden mind to follow
heart on a matter of such import. The experience has taught me trust.

I DO endeavor to stay away from places where the energy is overwhelming
(like
walmart) and only go if it is clear that I am to go.

  I find the electricity in towns , the petrol automobile fumes, the
hustle
and bustle, overwhelming and driving away from towns toward more bush
areas
or smaller towns, very nurturing.
