Hi Steve,

I answered this late last week and I have been having probs with my
server and it didn't make it through. So let me try again. :) It doesn´t
look too much like the first one I wrote. Oh well....

Hello everyone. Just weighing in on the subject of deliberately rousing

kundalini for the purpose of exploiting the siddhis.

[Susan ] Kinda like taking human growth hormone so you can be taller
for the prom. Not a good idea.

[Steve ] If I may be bold here, that's a really bad idea...on the same
order as
poking at a hornet's nest because you know there's honey somewhere
within.

[Susan ] The ironic thing about siddhis is that they loose their appeal
after your k awakening process has matured. I have demonstrated all of
them to some degree of intensity. It´s a wild experience when they
happen but their appeal is like being a three year old kid with a
sparkly, shiny object. All flash and no substance and you get bored of
them after awhile. They can even become annoying and a hinderance. Who
wants to know all the things everyone is thinking? Yuk.

Siddhis give you an idea of what the abilities of a fully awakened human
being can have but they are the side dish, not the main menu. The real
benefit of k awakening is a peaceful heart and a calm mind; a felt
understanding that you are one with All that Is. Siddhis are really just
a bag of tricks, that if we become enamored with them, prevent us from
growing further. That's how a lot of people get "stuck" on the path.
Steve, you have known me long enough to know that I have understandings
and abilities that far supercede that which are just embodied in the
siddhis. This comes after the siddhi stage.

[Steve ] Awakening Kundalini is something one does with lots of
forethought and
preparation if possible. It's something people talk about "surviving",
and
not casually. Gopi Krishna's book "Living With Kundalini" is one
example
of a survival story.

On the other hand, folks like Glenn Morris and Susan Carlson have been
doing Shaktipat in seminars, and report good results with fewer side
effects. Has the field changed regarding the complications of Kundalini

awakening? I'm open to discussion, but my advice remains the same.
Don't
attempt to rouse the Kundalini unless you are prepared to accept the
consequences.

[Susan ] Between Glenn and I we have done hundreds of Shaktipat
initiations with Glenn doing the larger number cause he has been at it
longer. We have had no significant or insurmountable problems because we
teach kundalini awakening with proven, simple safeguards.

Be aware, the process can be dangerous. It can be likened to stepping
off a bicycle and getting into a Ferrari. Most people need some training
and instruction. You need not to loose your common sense in this.

We now do Shaktipat as a team which seems to bring even smoother
results. People often get off our massage table giggling, wearing a big
smile. Although Glenn and I can give Shaktipat by intent (thought) alone
we give people a meridian massage first. We want to prepare the energy
channels in the body to get ready to take the higher intensity level of
kundalini through the nervous system.

Awakening the Kundalini is the second birth. And yes, when something is
born there will be consequences for a lifetime.

Thank you, Steve.

Shakti hugs,
Susan
