Hi,
Here is my take on the difference between Mystic and Magician. The
Mystic has surrended up the ego to the "All" and in so doing became the
"All". Ego becomes a mechanism with which to interact with the material
world but no longer identifies as self but rather a servent of self. The
All is pure love in a non dual state as the male and female energies are no
longer seperate. The mystic uses will and intellect to negotiate daily life
while living as Love and radiating this energy.
The Magician, Has not surrendered ego. The magician has not
completly healed the emotional being through complete egoless surrender.
The powers are his and he might well have awakened his kundalini. He can
manifest in the material world but what he does is done with his will and
limited to his intellect in his grasp of the consequences of focus of will
on a specific outcome. These are awsume powers to fool around with without
"Being" the wisdom of the all. I have lived both and know well the
difference. A rough discription comes to me here. A person can be aware
and deeply spiritual without the awakening of Kundalini with the opening of
heart and emotional healing and one can have a fully awake Kundalini with
the wisdom afforded through the life force feeding energy to intellect, "
without an open heart". History is full of these individuals and the
havoc they have rendered on their fellow man. This is a generalization and
many gradations inbetween as well as some unmentioned.
