Chelle,

These are mind concepts about enlightenment, but the experience itself cannot be described. It cannot be described. It is way beyond the describable. Again, bringing an infinite experience to a limited viewpoint, from a personal perspective. It is the ego trying to do the describing.

These concepts and words can help to steer us in the right direction to clear our "stuff" and get us on a path that is in our best interest, but enlightenment itself happens through grace; however, it may be facitilated by different means. No one can make you enlightened by teaching you. However, they can help you have good experiences, get rid of the trash that stands in the way of getting lighter, and open you up to the wonderful world of spirit, leading to all the steps up to...it, but the final step is something else. Everything leading up to that may be a process of becoming en-light-ened, but experiencing enlightenment is not a process but an act of God/dess.

Saying all this, I am not against teaching about it, as long as one understands that that is what is occuring. One is teaching about it, but the actual experience is something else, beyond what can be taught.

i think we all get a little confused at times by the word enlightenment....

enlightenment is simply the process of becoming aware of your unconscious layers of personality and dropping those layers..
they are not you;they are false faces.and because of those false faces, you cannot discover your original face.
enlightenment is nothing but the discovery of the original face-the essential reality you brought with you and the essential reality you will take with you when you die.
all the layers gathererd between birth and death will be left behind you.
when you become enlightened, you dont become a new person..infact you dont gain anything, you lose something.you lose your chains, you lose your bondage, you lose your misery, you go on losing.
enlightenment is a process of losing.when there is nothing left to lose, there is nirvana.that state of utter silence that can be called enlightenment.
if you live passionately your ego dissolves,if you live moment to moment totally intensely joyously and you are total in your acts then the ego has no were left to hide.it is like when a dancer goes on and on dancing-a moment comes when only the dance remains.
they say that there are only afew types of people who step apon the road of enlightenment, those who have achieved much and have pockets full of everything yet still feel empty...and those who have felt great pain.
at the end of the day it doesnt really matter..we are all logs in the fire and will eventually all be burning brightly.
i just wanted to share as i know i used to think enlightenment was this great big amazing wow that i could never reach..as they say man still chops wood and carries water regardless.
blessings to all x
Chelle :)
