  I enjoy your posts, Holly. We tend to agree, but use very different
language and I appreciate your perceptions.

    I see the same pattern, but as a flow of energy in the body. Metaphor
of a river. Some boulder (unconscius karmic stuff) hidden under the
surface catches a log (passing disappointment) that is floating by, and
more junk piles up behind that till there is a dam with hardly any water
flowing... The life force itself is diminished and the immune system
becomes weaker. The higher, nondual chakras shut down and the consciousness
becomes more egocentric with survival issues.

    Eventually a crisis point is reached, the individual reaches a personal
limit and surrenders. The pressure of the water-spiritual energy bursts
the dam with cathartic force and washes away the hidden boulder as
well. The river's course is now deeper and smoother than before... more
spiritual energy flows in the body, until something catches on the next
hidden karmic boulder to release.

    As the process continues, eventually the river is so deep and wide that
any debris will get swept away quite quickly. The crown chakra stays open,
and there is the experience you describe of recognizing the pattern from a
nondual perspective even while you are stuck in it. Knowing "this too,
shall pass" and that there will always be rewards on the other side.
