Sometimes we leave in stages, even if there is a fire. We may even go back
in to retrieve something that seemed valueable to us or that we just
weren't ready to let go yet, even if it is something that causes us pain.
So we still have choices no matter what the situation, burning or not.

It is like deciding that you will never leave your home again, and then one
day there is a fire. Do you leave the house or don´t you? Yes, you have
the choice to stay but the fire will always ‘force´ you out of the house
because of the pain of burning. In this context, do you really have the
choice? I think not. And this is what I am saying with regard to Albert´s
question.
