Hi Shawn,
I've followed sources who speak on this subject for years... it can be a
simple or a very involved discussion. If you are interested in a yahoo
group email list that has some good information in that regard, try "just
channelings", -- it is all channeled material (of varying quality--use your
discernment), most very current, the majority relating to the topic of Earth
and Humanity's ascension process. It is an invaluable source of inspiration
for me.

I'm sure many of you have heard about this date and its significance. I'm
interested in hearing your ideas about what may happen if anything. Will
there be
a shift in consciousness? I certainly hope so. The human race desperately
needs it. Do you think we're going to move into the next dimension, do you
think
that's even possible? There's many people that do. I'm praying that
something
will happen. It's not too far away and hopefully any changes that do happen
will be positive. Who knows? Maybe it will be the end of the human race as
we
know it. I know i'm kind of anxious for it to come and pass. It's a
fascinating
event. If you don't know anything about this date I'll clue you in. The
ancient Mayan civilization was very advanced in astronomy. In fact, the most
advanced for a very long time. They calculated that our solar system bobbles
up and
down as it circles our galaxy. Aproximately every thirty thousand years our
solar system crosses its galactic center (a super massive black hole). It's
also
to note that aproximately every thirty or so thousand years a massive
asteroid
collides with the Earth killing three quarters of all life on the planet.
