How do we know? Everything has a soul, but enlightenment is only possible
in the human nervous system.

Well I don't remember being a bacteria, though I may well have been one in
some previous life.

Even the religions which expect you to bow down and worship some exterior
God somewhere "out there", actually tell you that the divine is within you.
Jesus - the kingdom of God is within.
Islam - Allah is nearer to you than your neck-vein.
