Dear Doug, Marion,

Interesting both about the psychedelic connection and regarding blue skin as
symbolic of no karma.
It seems also that in some cases it's a matter of an actual "substance"
(described as similar to blue paint) that the skin exudes.

Experiencing Nectar (amitra) is another outward indication that the body does
go through physical changes when K awakens.

One theory, espoused by a friend of mine, who is a lama (of some sort, I
forget the specifics) and a scholar of Tibetan stuff, is that the blueness is
a reference to the
blue tint of psychedelic mushrooms when they are bruised - there are lots and
lots of
references like this in Buddhist / Tibetan art to psychedelics. He pretty
much
convinced me.

But a blue skin???? That is a bit more literal than I would think would
happen
Is it a definite blue or all in the eye of the tint-ee?
