Subject: [K-list] What is...? Karma vampire games.

It occurs to me we probably have a lot of newer members on the list
who have no idea what the heck I'm talking about.

Sorry... Did not intend to be cryptic, I was just too busy sorting
my week's schedule to be anything but brief... ADD brain trying to be
organized.

Karma vampire games is my playful term for what is basically empathic
healing, what is sometimes more classically referred to as karma
yoga. There are a lot of threads about it, in the archives. Vampire games
also involve tantric energy sharing.

I mostly teach it to overwhelmed empaths to help them cope, feel safer
and learn a positive outlook.

It is a step towards resolving the deeper issues of why they tend to
take on emotional baggage from people, in the first place. Those issues
tend to take time to be resolved.

Overwhelmed empaths often end up feeling victimized by how other people
choose to feel, because they get stuck in it, or it gets stuck in them. In
fact, it is often the resistance that causes the stuckness... and there is
a shift of consciousness upon learning to enjoy demonsalad sandwiches and
make a banquet of road rage. It opens the wings of the heart.

Energy is energy, it is judgment that makes it good or bad. People who
dump on you offer a gift of energy. Karma Vampires learn to eat it, and
the digestive alchemy that will transmute it to pure creative fire you can
use it to fuel your own spiritual growth, eventually evolve into someone
who is invisible to the sort of people who like to dump on people... unless
you choose not to be.

Empathic healing is not the best healing method in the world. The
results of processing someone's karma within your own body can be quite an
energy rush, somewhat addictive. The results in the recipient can be
downright miraculous sometimes, but it can also be kind of dangerous. Bumpy
and hard on the health of the healer if certain universal laws are not
followed. The results sometimes are not lasting, if the recipient has not
gotten enough insights on the content of the stuff to recognise the pattern
they represent and choose to change.

I don't teach it because it is a fabulous healing method. There are
better ones. I teach it because it is the *best* way for empathic people
who are taking on other people's karma unconsciously, and getting the
negative side effects anyway, to learn to understand and deal with what
they get, and grow.

It is a way to become conscious about the energy dynamics of empathy,
work towards getting past the resistance and illusion of helplessness and
victimhood, so there is a place of peace to get a new sense of one's true
self and boundaries. It is hard to get to know and trust your own
feelings, if what you are feeling belongs to someone else...

I did not set out to be a healer. I became a healer because Goddess
blackmailed me into it. The only way to stop feeling empathy with someone's
pain was to heal them, then neither of us would have to feel it. I did not
know it was karma yoga and the blessings would be returned multiplied, and
be a rocketship to my spiritual growth.

I decided to get involved and ate the potato and spat it out. We ended a
long conversation in fun and laughter.

I did some meditation and extra releasing after and broke some ties which
had formed. This was okay. I felt quite well and buzzing a bit.

The next morning I woke up feeling incredibly heavy and tired. I'm not sure
if this was an effect of the night before or maybe I just coming down with
something. I still feel unusually tired and burnt out.
