Subject: [K-list] Hot potato causing burnout?
From: Rich

On 2004/09/07 10:02, Rich posted thus to the K-list:

Can anyone comment on this?

A friend had been suffering for a week from what I call a hot potato.

A hot potato is something that no one wants to hold and doesn´t know how to
take out the heat from it so it gets passed around from person to person.

There are powerful triggers such as in this case a persons desire to move to
a foreign country to marry her fiancée. The person had come from a broken
family and to stand in the way of this would be what I´d call a hot potato
trigger.

In this case my friend had unintentionally (not seeing far enough) and
through her own dependence on this person triggered a hot potato and it had
grown to reproachful behaviours from two people that had lived very happily
as close friends for over 6 months in the same apartment.

The hot potato was being passed to each other in action and word with hope
the other would catch it and accept the responsibility.

Each was blaming the other for something.

I decided to get involved and ate the potato and spat it out. We ended a
long conversation in fun and laughter.

I did some meditation and extra releasing after and broke some ties which
had formed. This was okay. I felt quite well and buzzing a bit.

The next morning I woke up feeling incredibly heavy and tired. I´m not sure
if this was an effect of the night before or maybe I just coming down with
something. I still feel unusually tired and burnt out.

I´m considering this now and think something become stuck in my central
channel that I hadn´t noticed. Typically I can identify things in others
more easily than in myself (especially so if something has been there for a
long time in myself.)

Anyway, just thought I´d write this and curious if others have had any
similar experience and any comment or suggestion.?

Thanks in advance,

Rich
