Hi Hillary:

Thanks much for your words of adivse - Hatha yoga may be a better
alternative for me, since my experience with Ashtanga, as I previously
mentioned, seems to exacerbate things on account of the exertion it
requires. Good point about pre-concieved ideas - this is an issue which
comes up all the time in Zen circles, but it seems to have escaped me after
being whacked over the head, so to speak.

Right now, I'm certainly curtailing zazen - my instinct tells me that this
is what I need to do, but my mind/body is so used to doing it that it is
difficult to completely refrain for more than a few days.
