As the rivers bring tidings of the winters passing
And the springs rain falls like a solemn wall
While shrouding the sun with its clouds passing
Far and wide over land and sea
Like a blanket of sorrow
Following the warm wind and billowing into the cold
With flashing lightning and thunderous crashing
Shaking the roots of mountains from old
Sending a sound like a faint whisper
Into the heart of the earth as it spins,
Dancing within the emptiness
Unaware of its direction
And this dancing and destruction swings to a rhyme
Known only to those few
Of how when it fades and why when it cries
Would themselves rather be dying
And on a path from waylay
Bettered by no say
And the end to it all
This wonderous wall
