Subject: [K-list] loving yourself
From: Diamondsutra

On 2004/08/16 20:44, Diamondsutra posted thus to the K-list:

The way I relate to this is--I define self. To me the self is emotions:
anger, fear, doubt, wanting, trying, jealousy, etc. The self is what
innocent babes are born without and part of why we love them so much and they
are so beautiful to be around. But they learn very shortly by being around
us to have self.

By ridding myself of emotions then emotions do not get in the way of what I
am. And then, rather than endeavoring to love my "self" I find that I am
life and that I am "being". That is that the "I" that would want to love
myself is not there and that only pure perception is here. I find that I am
a great "absence of every thing" and in this absence I am spontaneous, that
is able to respond to life in the moment, to do what needs to be done and to
do nothing if there is nothing to do. This movement of "absence" to me is
love. Truth is stillness.

The above is an endeavor to put into words the state in which I find "me",
which is my beingness and different from my "self".

Also, to me love is caring for, but then I have raised 4 children and was
and still am, the oldest of 9-yes- nine. So, now that the children are gone
I am able to care for this body as though it were a new born or the body of a
child, that is, to clean it tenderly, to feed it rightly and on time, to
exercise and fresh air it and to comb its hair, to oil and lotion it, etc.
The body is the body, the home wherein dwelleth this consciousness that I am.
And if God is everywhere --and this is my experience, then God is in me--and
this is my experience also. And so, I spend as much "timelessness"
in "meditation" or stillness, pulsating in conscious union with God as each
day permits. Most days this is all day and all night. The consciousness
does not willingly become "unconscious" so that I can fall into "sleep";
hence i have to find ways to become "unconscious" that is to disappear into
sleep.

And then, to consciously with every breath be grateful for my life and all
that is in it. Thank you God for my life, thankyouformylife, thankyouformy
life. Gratitude, gratitude and more gratitude and in this state of
gratitude, to enjoy my life.

These are some of the ways that I relate to that topic "Loving myself".
These are the ways that come up at the moment.

   Blessings, deesutra
