What was that Vulcan saying the needs of the many out way the needs of the
few or the one.

I kind of agree and disagree, there one and the same to me, half of it is
getting used to your own energy levels which is difficult when there are so
many different ones surrounding you, In the past it was so easy for me to
rise or be lowered by other people maybe this was a ego thing, or maybe its
just a natural state all I know is it is very difficult staying centred in
ones own state when there are so many other states that keep affecting us.
Suppose the key is how it affects us when someone is angry I used to get
angry, when someone was happy I was happy etc.

To me at least it is about finding the inner centre and core, recognising
what it is, how it feels, and then staying there when the environment
decides for it to rain, snow or be sunny. That is partial kind of control it
is not external but then the external is affected by the internal so in a
way we are still changing things whether by action or non action.

After all what's water off a ducks back?

As you say M.A.S., this is an ego issue, and this is self-created. The
major problem is that despite our spiritual path, we are constantly drawn
outwardly rather than inwardly, and we continue to see the outside world as
separate from us, and we even see ourselves as superior.

Why should our environment or others ever conform to what we see as right or
what we want? We are still in the 'controlling' mode when we think this
way, and we need to look inwardly to see why we feel uncomfortable in any
situation and why we want to control others or a situation in order for it
to comply with our old outdated concepts and desires.

Perhaps these situations are great opportunities to adapt and to learn to
feel comfortable in any environment and with anybody, rather than wanting to
change the situation to what we think will suit us best, and perhaps it is
time to think more on a global basis and want what is best for the group or
team in question rather than ourselves.
