Dear Grotweed,

Welcome to the K-list! Yeah! At first I thought I might be going mad as
well--but I simply didn't much care! :)) It was just too amazing!

You might want to check into the list thread section on headache pain.

It is not that uncommon to have crown pain occurring before the energy is
either released through the crown or recirculated through the body.

Krishnamurti did, indeed, experience pain from the time of his awakening when
he was 28 years old certainly through to when he wrote his diary published as
Krishnamurti's Notebook when he was 67. I'm surprised that no one at the
foundation could point you in the right direction for information. The Notebook
is full of descriptions both of his pain and his ecstasies.

>From the Notebook:

"Woke up about two and there was a peculiar pressure and the pain was more
acute, more in the centre of the head. It lasted over an hour and one woke up
several times with the intensity of the pressure. Each time there was great
expanding ecstasy: this joy continued." and

"The pressure and the strain of deep ache is there; it's as though, deep
within, an operation was going on." [More quotes from Krishnamurti's Notebook
below]

The pain seemed always to be accompanied by ecstasy and expanded
consciousness. You will probably recognize in yourself much of his
experiences--especially that of being worked on. :))

Once when asked when he was around 40 years old why he didn't consult doctors
for the pain, he replied: "It is not pain. It is an inexplicable joy." [J
Krishnamurti, Leaves from a Diary by Leena Sarabhai]

As far as your question about thyroid--there seems to be some connection.
The throat chakra governs this gland, and the shoulder stand serves, in part, to
stimulate/tone the thyroid gland. Hatha Yoga can certainly set of kundalini
and both seem to cause changes in metabolism in general. So yes, these are
all part of the K process. You seem to be in a continual state of samadhi--not
uncommon for k-active folks.

And you'll find plenty in the archives about our affecting electicity of all
sorts! :))

CFS seems, in part, as you have discovered, a way to make people who are
especially driven to slow down. You seem to have adjusted very well to the
energy!

Again, welcome!

Love, Hillary

More quotes from the Notebook:

"In the car on the way to Ojai, again it began, the pressure and the feeling
of immense vastness...For over an hour it went on and the head was very bad,
the pain right through the head."

"The pressure and the strain of it was there, very strongly, yesterday
afternoon and this morning. Only there was a certain change; the pressure and the
strain were from the back of the head, through the palate to the top of the
head..."

"Woke up in the middle of the night shouting and groaning; the pressure and
the strain, with its peculiar pain, was intense."

"Yesterday afternoon it was pretty bad, almost unbearable; it went on for
several hours."

Thereafter, and to this day even (although less so now), I feel movement in
my head as if restructuring is going on.

<snip>. And not only did this happen but I was also given more time (because
I was no longer able to work) to do the things I wanted to do, and that is to
try to help people walk the spiritual path that I have walked.
