Subject: [K-list] time going backward
From: Brian .

On 2004/06/05 02:26, Brian . posted thus to the K-list:

One of my old conjectures goes like this:
You wake up tomorrow and everything is going half
speed- your clock, the sun, your body. Would you
notice? After all, at 12:00pm it is noon and the sun
is overhead. Your thoughts pass at half speed so you
probably don't notice the change.

What if everything stopped for an instant whatever
that means. Then life resumes its pace. Anyone notice?
Probably not. What says time cannot slow down, stop,
then reverse without our slightest disturbance.

It brings up the point that is what is time? The way I
just described it, it is something that normally
passes at one second per second but could
theoretically be stretched or compressed in reference
to some ultimately fixed time frame.
