I found this in a science magazine once,
We never ever breath through both nostrils at a time, first we breath though
one while the other sleeps and then it alternates in 20min cycles, give it a
try it seems to work, I've also noticed that when I wake up sometimes if I
am not feeling very well, one of my nostrils is blocked never both, I think
this mirrors what you are saying on a physical level, does anyone have any
answers to both these questions?

Peace.

Thank you kindly for your response! What brings up most curiousity at the
moment is the relationship between the swara and K. Does the swara stop to
alternate between the two nostrils at a certain stage of K, and both
nostrils always flow simultaneously, or, does K in sushumna make sure the
swara flows and alternates at a correct rythm?
