 Dear Niki,

What you describe is exactly what happened to me the first time I "meditated
again." Many, many incidents occurred previous to, simultaneously with, and
definitely since this first-time meditation took place. I can relate to
your hesitations and trepidations! ;-) In fact, almost twenty years before
my first "blue eye" experience, I had an urge to meditate altho' I had no
clue as to what to do, think, say, be...it was all very confusing. I
decided, those years ago, to sit quietly in the dark with a candle
burning -- cross-legged, of course -- and imagined I was following a lady in
white who was holding a candle, down a long, winding stone path, deep into
the earth. Well, I started feeling very strange and had imaginations of
losing myself in this meditation. That was the last time I tried meditating
until the "blue eye" effect, almost twenty years later.

You bring out some interesting memories! I had a Wayne Dyer tape that
explained the japa meditation, but little else. My back was really
bothering me at this time, I guess three or four years ago now, so I sat on
my bed propped up with pillows. Not only did I see the "ball of purple" but
it started to pulsate and vibrate, with what I assume is the sound of the
Universe. It sounded like a pulsating AUMMMMMM......AUMMMMMMM. Mine was
blue, however, altho' I see both purple and blue now -- throw in the gold,
red, green and orange, it depends....;-)

When I meditate now, or even just going to sleep, I see the "colors."
Mostly blue and purple. Sometimes they are so brilliant and vibrant, I
could never reproduce them with paints. I see buildings and landscapes,
people and animals...thoughts, they come and go. There's never any
permanance to any of this, it just is. However, one of my "awakening?"
symptoms is lucid dreaming and out of body experiences. I find when I want
to lucid dream, I leave through the blue, not the purple. That's the only
 way I can describe it.

My opinion of seeing the blue or purple, some people describe this as the
chakras, is that your "intelligence" as it were, begins to be awakened to
living outside the body instead of inside the mind. IOW, you begin to
realize the body is a created vessel for earthly existence. You sense
things that have no explanation to anyone on this earthly plane. Sometimes
you really have to pay attention to what you experience, what's real, and
what other people consider real, because it's <always> been real for you.
 Somehow, you've always been there.

There's no advice to give and there are really no words of wisdom to impart
except -- experience it for yourself and interpret it for yourself. In all
sorts of ways, most people on this list have experienced one or more of
everything you've experienced, but in their own way. Relax and enjoy! Does
make a muck of the "real world" sometimes, but for me, I'd rather have these
 experiences than not.

 Bon Voyage!

 Hety

I saw the same purple ball with yellow/gold objects inside again last night
as I was falling asleep, though I don't kinow how long it lasted. I tried
 to
focus on my breathing instead, so I didn't do too much too quickly. Also, I
have noticed that when I am in my bathroom staring at a big empty white
 wall, I
see a yellowish haze that kind of pulsates and floats around the room. I
think I actually had control over it for a moment, because I thought of a
 ball and
different colors, and the haze changed somewhat, although not exactly. Or
 it
could have been my imagination, I have no idea.
