I have a very confusing personal experience I would like to share with
everyone, in the hope that it brings clarity to others.
Sometime last year (while practicing meditation), I started suffering from
nightmares and strange dreams about a certain experience,
I wont go into details here, just to say that it was not very nice.
After having these nightmares for awhile I decided to get some spiritual
healing done, I went to a spiritual healer and had several healings, and the
healer told me that I had suffered this experience in a past life and I had
to make my peace with the thing that happened or it would always haunt me.
He said it was a past life experience.
Anyway to cut a long story short I did a lot of things, meditation, yoga,
healings, psychotherapy.
And finally so I thought I made my amends with this situation.
That is until I met a very close collegge of mine and we went for drinks,
She confided in me that she had suffered a very intense ordeal in her
childhood. An ordeal that matched word for word mine!
It seems that I had somehow subliming picked up what she had gone through as
a child and projected it upon myself.
The good thing was that I could relate to what she was talking about and
help her come to terms with her past. I have learned I am very receptive to
the needs of other and I know now why I can relate to other people so
easily.
The problem is how then do I separate (or distinguish) myself from others?
