On the prominent forehead of the mummy mask of Tutankhamon sits a vulture
and a cobra.

The cobra represents the Kundalini, but what does the * vulture * represent
?
I have found reference to a griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), so what does this
represent ?
I've found reference to protection, but there is much more to it than that.

Nekhbet Vulture goddess of Upper Egypt / Something related to healing ?
Wadjet Cobra goddess of Lower Egypt / The Eye of Ra

There is also mention of the 2 Goddesses becoming 1. Rising above the mind,
above or beyond duality perhaps is a possible meaning. Perhaps there is
none.

But why 2 Goddess's ? Why not a God and a Goddess ? It's very confusing. Is
this not unbalanced ? Perhaps the Pharaoh himself is the masculine element.

Symbology reinterpreted and reinterpreted. There is much here, does anyone
know ?

I've read that later on the vulture is replaced with an eagle, but I don't
think that is relevant.
