 Hi!

I have had, (and still have), a good experience with this, so
maybe I can give you a hand.

You want something. You want it badly. :).

I think you should differenciate between "natural" desires and
"forced" desires. As I have experienced a desire becomes harmfull when you
start forcing yourselve to obtain it. i.e. a part of yourselve is not
conviced that that is the way to follow but you repress it in order to
obtain you desire.

"Forced" desires make bigger the need for that special desire (
unnatural attachment ), make bigger your aversion to certain situations (
becuase you are really doing something that you don´t want to do in order to
obtain that desire, so certain situations are related with an awufull
feeling) and generally your organism become umbalanced because you are
"forcing" yourselve, thus creating a tension that displaces you from your
center.

So, as I see it, desiring is a natural thing in life, and getting
what you desire is wonderfull as long as you respect yourselve and don´t
make treachery to any part of yourselve to attain it.

or

> understanding. How can life function without desire ?

         That wouldn´t be life.

> Is "desire" and "sensual desire" the same thing ?

Imagine all the things you could desire, some of them would be
related with relationships, sensuality, sex ... but there are infinite
desires.

> Are there resources out there that can help me out here, or anyone ?

I would make a good bet for your organism. It knows clearly what
is good for him. :).

> I feel lost.

          Hope you find yourselve. :)
