Raven´s Sacred Oath

Midnight Raven atop a stately Pine
Calling to me only
I hear her strictly singing
Warning caws forebode
Premonitions of a new dawn
Darkened over time
She sings of an era
Yet to come
An age of gloom
Where shadows obscure
Incomprehensible perils
And deeds done dirty
Wreak havoc anew
Omens of calamity
She sings to me
And to all who would listen
In her terrifying song
The caveat resonates
Echoes to the mountains
Through the canyons
To the seas
Yet if I listen ever closely
In her menacing call I hear
An assuring guarantee
Of an oath
That once was taken
Consecrated, sanctified
And shan´t be forgotten
Sacred vows
Declared hallowed
Hitherto renewed
