Dear Forrest,

:)) Yeah! Hatha Yoga is certainly not a toy! :)) My K awoke
spontaneously shortly after chosing HY as an exercise regimen. (I had learned it in the
70's) I was not interested at all in "spirituality."

BTW, along with breathwork with the exercises, I suspect the Bandha "locks"
are a powerful Kundalini trigger. http://www.yrec.org/bandha.html . If you
really want to awaken K, I would suggest you try these. I was doing kegal
exercises, which are similar to mûla-bandha locks--and the combination is pretty
powerful. I think breath work with HY is also what set me off, as well as
listening to Rumi tapes with a new friend, :)) I think combination of forces
often are the secret.

But it sounds to me as if you are already energetically awake. My energy
has never been primarily based in the spine either, but it's been mystically
powerful. Some people even say that once the chakras are clear, one feels the
energy less. We all seem to feel the energy somewhat differently.

Yes. I think it is very healthy to let the energy go where it wants! :))
