    The main reason why the list is set so that reply goes to the author,
is to encourage members to send a private note of gratitude, enjoyment or
agreement to the author of a post they appreciate. Unlike most email lists,
this list is archived publically and permanently, and sending thanks
privately, keeps the archives from getting cluttered with "thank you" and
"I agree" posts.

   It is also good to add a subject header to all mails, that reflect the
content of the post. Subject headers help members, and people reading the
archives to more easily find the posts about subjects they are interested in.
