Dear Sunny,

Yes, this happens frequently. It can be an extremely painful period --a
feeling of being deserted by "God." But Kundalini is often cyclical and
intermittent. Gopi Krishna, for instance had an initial awakening and then after
several years had a reawakening. [Living with Kundalini by Gopi Kirshna, Chapter
15.] Others have had a similar hiatus and then reemergence. See progression of

The energy is always with us, though, but it is not always overtly apparent.
