Hello Sunny, it seems there are quite a few people on the various K lists who
experience spontaneous awakenings like your. Often these awakenings are a
result of some trauma, like your back injury. As I see it the problem with
relying on continual spontaneous awakening, is the kinds of downturns you are
presently in.

Downturns are inevitable. There is no free ride into the stars. Everyone
who goes through the spiritual awakening is challenged to the core of their
being, time, and time again. The solutions is simply to pick yourself up and keep
moving forward.

However I have found a regular meditation practice can be valuable along the
journey, so do try to cultivate a way of beginning and ending each day with
even just a few minutes of silence and emptiness. I am sure this can only help.

Right livelihood is a difficulty for many of us on this journey. I wish I
could give you a simple answer here, but I cannot. Right livelihood is an
individual thing. It is finding a subsistence strategy that does not interfere
with your well-being, gives you an adequate subsistence and is an act of service.

I can only hope I have been of even a small help.
