Dear Rich, Juliette,

I agree that trying to protect yourself from energy is counter productive.
It is simply protecting yourself from your "higher" self. IMO

In my experience when one feels entities working to break down ones
protection, they are our guides--aspects of self wanting to cut through the ego. If
you fight the energy you are preventing yourself from experiencing the wonders
of letting go and the blissful, positive aspects of the energy. You are
fighting your internal guidance which is trying to break down your perceived need
for protection.

Perhaps the sense that you must "atone" for past lives is simply a way for
the ego to hang in there! Guilt is really a strong holder-together of the ego.
To feel guilt means we feel we have always been in control of our actions.
It has a way of keeping us from surrendering the concept of self-dom to the
energy. Let go of the guilt (which is no longer something you need) , and the
protection is no longer necessary. There is no one to punish you! You no
longer have to feel you don't deserve bliss! Simply let go! I feel darkness and
light as one.

I always found this quote helpful:

"Compassion automatically invites you to relate with people, because you no
longer regard people as a drain on your energy. They recharge your energy,
because in the process of relating with them you acknowledge your wealth, your
richness."
