HELP ME, PLEASE !
 
Anyone who is familliar with the career of Massage Therapy will tell
you that it takes lots of talent and determination to make it work.
It also takes money ! Continuing education cost can be quite high for
the classes that give you the skills to rise above the rest or just
to be at the same level as your fellow therapist. Some classes can
cost as much as a thousand dollars. These classes are manditory in
order to maintain licensure in the state of Louisiana, because of
this therapist sometimes take courses by mail which give us no hands
on experience, just the continuing education credits needed to keep
practicing as a licensed therapist.

Being a male therapist makes it twice as hard to make it here in the
south. The majority of males and females prefer female therapist for
whatever thier reasons may be. The male therapist who can afford the
exspensive classes seem to get beyond the male/female or male/male
barriers because his reputation for his accomplishments in helping
his clients feel better gives him recognition among others.
