Subject: [K-list] Any insights on Bipolar?
From: contour5

On 2003/12/12 00:14, contour5 posted thus to the K-list:

I'm looking for advice on how to help my friend, who has been
diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I realize this is a bit off topic, but
I'm having trouble finding good information elsewhere. I'm hoping
somebody here might have experience, insights, information, etc. Any
great books or websites? Alternatives to toxic chemical treatment?
(She's currently using Risperdal and Lithium- VERY expensive).
I'm not under any illusions of being able to "fix" my friend. I have
yet to develop any real talents as a healer. But, my friend is
suffering, and I care for her very much. What can I do? I would do
almost anything to help her to be well. If anyone has any insight or
advice concerning this condition, please share! Thanks in advance...
