well, every movie theatre needs a projectionist.
it takes an image-ination to be the receptionist.....

on films:
watched PI a few years ago and it amazed me [ not only the film, but the
syncronicity of it's content with my mind at the time ].
the same directors following film "Requiem for a dream" is also extremely deep in a good way,
a much sadder tale, showing almost parallel frustrations in two seemingly opposite situations....
i'd also recommend "altered states" ( especially to those into Terrence MacKenna World )
on drunken laughter behaviour:
my first experience with drunken laughter was back in 1999, my supposed year of some
awakening of something....
i remember i was sitting at home, writing a letter to my .... soul-mate... two weeks prior,
we met for the first time at my 30th birthday party, and from that moment she has helped
me see my self. and unknowingly also - guided me through my awakening.
anyway, i was writing, and i felt the need to contact her directly - at that moment.
( she was away on holiday in cornwall, for the lunar-eclipse parties going on there. )
i stood up ( unmotivated ) and walked to an open space in the room, and i closed my
eyes. i lifted my arms to horizontal, as if crucified - sortof.
i remember feeling my heart fill with a roaring power, which i guided into my outstretched
arms, and i slowly, but with feeling, raised my arms high.
as i did i sensed a rushing, and in my minds eye i could sense sparks, like arrows - flying
from my arms into the sky and raining down upon my friend - whereever she stood.
in seconds i felt a rain pouring down upon me, it was like, well, it was like being in a rain
of gentle electricity - like a million cob-webs drifting over my body - it was ecstatic.
i started laughing.... and i laughed.... as if i had heard the funniest thing in the cosmos,
but it wasn't just "funny".... it was a laugh you feel when you bump into a long lost friend
in an unexpected place.... yet it was not long lost, or unexpected....
it was just incredible.
i laughed... ohh. for around 30 minutes.... solid...... after a while i was starting to laugh
more, as the fact that i was still laughing was seeming funnier and funnier...
trapped in a laughing-spin-cycle....
makes me grin widely even now.
it was as i said an eclipse that day.... that means the moon was dark i think yes?
[ i.e. if the moon is in the sky during the day, then i assume that it's in the wrong
position to receive light at night ]
anyway, abby got the letter, said that she got to this bit, and burst out laughing too, as on the
same night, she had been fire dancing for a bit, but had got bored... she was
sitting on a rise above the camp-site, and was suddenly overcome with laughter
and excitement and general happiness... and she heard me.
ahh, the moon is just falling to set over the bay, bye bye beautiful....
i tried for three hours to sleep tonight, and eventually gave up...
i've never had such sleep depravation since back in 1999...
oh i just *know* the next 9 years are going to be soooo interesting ;-)
at least i'm not tired...
