Steve: I almost totally agree with you.
Body language, tone of voice etc. do say a lot about a person and
what is being said.....but...

Words alone can do almost the same thing...without the distraction of form
and sound. Study after study show that someone's size, looks, etc. effect
how people see and hear a person.

In any case....one has to be alert to how ones words will be taken. I tend
to spend too much time with words.....so I dont write letters or email often.
But am continually amazed how much one can know about a person through
their words. I use IRC chat....and can almost always tell the sex, age (within a
few years), and even weight of someone within a few minutes of talking to them.
