Well, I tend to agree that awareness is enough. But then I don't believe in
free will! ;)
I tend to surrender to the idea that I'm really not in control.
The whole doctrine of Karma can get pretty complex from what little I've
read. I tend to think of Karma as the dna that we are born with--the basic way we
tend to respond to problems. I tend to "go with the flow" which has worked
well for me, but might not for others. But there is some satisfaction with the
thought that suffering has a positive purpose--that ultimately things work
out for all existence.

Well, sometimes it's pretty difficult to stop a chain of events by fighting
the river's tide. Sometimes going down stream will provide access to the tree
limb allowing one to grab hold. Not easy to have that faith, though. And
sometimes, perhaps, one can surrender to the idea of the need to struggle.
