Subject: [K-list] Your thoughts on a kundalini awakener

Hi all,

I'm a new member to this list.

I've never personally had a Kundalini awakening, but I have had an
'experience' which led me to investigate the subject and subscribe to
this list.

Whilst living overseas, I made friends with a number of people who had a
deep interest and range of experiences in spirituality. These friendships
led to meeting a man who claimed to do K awakenings in 15 minutes! I had
no idea what a 'kundalini' was, but (wanting to prove him wrong in my
skeptical mind) volunteered for him to do one on me.

He said he wouldn't do a full awakening as I wasn't ready, but that day
he touched the base of my spine for a few minutes before putting me in a
trance. From then until 4-5 days later my body was very magnetic,
especially on my forehead and my neck. Later that day I was in a plush
hotel lobby where my friend was meeting a very important but difficult
client. He asked me to use my awakening to enter her mind (like they
would in Star Trek) and put her in a positive, friendly mood. I did,
seated about 20 feet away from their table and it apparently worked!
Furthermore, she kept asking if he was psychic (he's not) and that she
just had a 'good feeling' about the matter they discussed.

My 'powers' seem to have gone now, but occasionally, I can still stick
keys, coins, etc. if I concentrate very hard.

I just want to know from you all, who clearly have great experience in
the matter, whether this was a kundalini awakening, something else, and
if it should have been done.

Furthermore, he makes money out of awakenings (and kundalini healing as
he puts it) and wants me to help him out in my country. By all means,
he's a very nice guy, but considering this concerns powers beyond us all,
is making money out of it the right thing to do? Would it be dangerous
the average person like me who doesn't do yoga, meditation or any type of
spiritual exercise?

I would understand that his services could help a lot of people, but
where does one draw the line between a for-profit self-development
program and a spiritual experience? I wonder what the karmic reaction
would be too - positive or negative?

This all coming from a person with virtually nil knowledge or background
in spirituality, I hope you can help me out.

With many thanks,

Mike
