Do I come here now with all I am
to carry what I feel is true?
Or to learn, from what I read -
bring empty mind and seed anew?

Have I left behind my static ways
to crumble like caged walls of old?
Or do I bring them to a battlefield
of mental conflicts, proud and bold?


Let me be here reverent, listening, still
to all the words that come from thought.
Let me understand the flower's growth
and love these moments softly caught.

May I even when I don't agree,
see that conflict is within my mind.
And that with reflection on my self
more understand the words I find.

Let me remember to be never false
in anything I write or say.
As all us here are sensitive,
and words touch us in many ways.

Let me real-eyes the sense so pure -
life's unity of all our parts.
And let me be alive to feel the love
that surges from our inner heart.
