water of life
always moving
around
rocks n beds
sometimes
returning

giver of knowledge
deceiver of death;

not held
in forced
redundancy,
timeline fears,
or stagnate
belief

like the breeze
overhead;
earth into wind

water of perpetual
motion
and renewal..

wild river running forever between rushing
against rocks makes a roaring sound

'what do
you want
from me?'

asked the river
to the tree
up top,

'i can't stop
like you aloof
in your
silent grandeur
stepping upon
mountains'

the tree
said nothing

the bare wind
whispering
thru
it's leaves

___________________

the tree of we hearkens restless in the wind

turning leaves
in time
fall naked
to the ground

leaving desolate
branches
to make
no sound.
