Yes! Interestingly enough in the past day, after trying to describe my
experiences to my father (who listens patiently and even tries to
understand), I came up with an "exercise" to try to imagine the vastness of
the experience of the expanded consciousness, at least in my case: Try to
imagine yourself as a drop of water. Then imagine yourself joining the
ocean and becoming the ocean. You are the drop of water AND the ocean and
not only that. You experience the entirety of the ocean! And then you
again become a drop of water. Once one "experiences" the ocean, one will
never doubt that we are much more than a drop of water.
And then Hillary wrote today:
"Suso the German mystic said that in the "highest stage of union all
consciousness of self disappears and the soul is plunged into the abyss of
the Godhead,
and the soul has become one with God."
How very short a time we have to experience the totality of Everything in
our little bursts of ...what?...experience, joy, rapture? ;-) And then the
world still turns under our human feet and we long for the experience again,
or the "knowing" or...how about, the escape from our human confines into the
Oneness of Everything?
Well, sorry I've taken so long to respond to this thread, and now both
Hillary and Susan are on vacation! Well, bon voyage and a safe trip!
