dear mark,
it seems from your mail, that you are mentally less chaotic than others, more
confident about knowledge. Of course i do not take offence at all that it
implied a sort of elite condescension to my over-enthusiasm, but infact i feel
honored that u have taken trouble to clear me of my confusion. so i do
understand that in my ignorance if i do make seemingly arrogant assertions, u would
empathize that, it is but an innocent extrapolation from what i can see
happening to me now.
what i feel is that the actual effort to seek god begins after u learn the
breathless state. i feel till then we are just preparing our nervous system.
the destruction of ego, i do not think is possible, without living on cosmic
energy. so long as "u" r ignorant of this and continue to be dependent on the
finite, it is impossible to destroy bondage to the senses. because, *that* is
the most logical thing. how can u become detached to something u use for
survival.(if u want to survive and use the body as an instrument for realization .
we cannot be detached from love to life. if at all we do, i think ,that we're
just taking ourselves and our ego on a fun trip.
i think only after this, when the mind and the body are running on prana, can
we start experimenting getting linked to the infinite. and that is when u
come face to face with ur own fuck ups, inside. see them in black and white and
may be have a 'glimpse' of the infinite too.
i think the energy is simply unqualitative. that is, it is neither negative
nor positive. it simply ' is'.
the negative and positive things actually are the aspects of ourselves.
(which are different in different people.) . which we need to clear.
depending on the individual's karma, the attachment levels are of different
types and at different levels. the more attached is a man, the more resistance
will his body offer against reaching breathlessness.. being attached to the
senses. what ever he does,, however grand they are, are not any good. they
just are gonna make u feel paranoid. the different feelings that one
experiences, the great and the terrible,is just the subconscious "working" by the
secreted hormones. not of much use. and take u back to square one though each time u
may follow a different circle. and the body's mechanisms are to produce the
hormones that make u feel. so long as u are not able to live on prana, ur
feelings are what ur senses tell u. the trip to woods and stream etc just placate
ur senses.and ego. for the energy and the actual u, living with a camel with
clap, in the shit hole of a pig sty would be no different from the prospect of
spending ur life on a satin bed , filled with the clones of elizibeth hurley.
we as ordinary men, ( forgive my male chauvinistic expression) tend to quest
for spirituality out of glamour and glory. the movies and science fiction
books pamper our fantasies further. but it is the truth ,that without attachment,
we would do nothing. that is the rule of maya. and the senses are of maya, and
for it. and as long as we are slave to it, we cannot see beyond. we will
delude ourselves with arguments about the non essentials.
and there is more than a universe beyond.
so i believe.
