Hello Lars and Rodney,

If I may offer an alternative and radical view and possibly an unpopular
one but it may be the most empowering and transcendent.

I would offer that killing who you meet in your dreams means you are
killing your Self. You are repelling and trying to destroy that part of
you which you find unloveable and ugly.

Let them kill and destroy you. That which you fear controls you. Where
you place your attention magnifies. Energy follows thought. Your dream
lives are a reflection of your real time lives. The process of ego death
comes in many forms.

The more time one spends in resisting the demonic that shows up in one's
dreams the stronger it will become. Or it will eventually stop because
it has been prevented from integrating itself with you. Regardless, the
end result is prolonged suffering in dramatic and/or subtle ways for the
fighter.

Something here for you to think upon:

The Litany against Fear, from "Dune":

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."
~Frank Herbert.
