Yes. This is true and I do have first and second hand experiences of
the above aspect. However, over the years I have also seen that false
teachers/gurus can also use this as a "technique" to hide their falsity
in a manner that is irrefutable by ordinary people (ie practically all
of us). Therefore, I recommend that one should ensure that the
teacher/guru is authentic and genuine by the utilisation of all
available means, in which case the above aspect becomes merely a part of
the whole rather than a single self-justifying aspect.
