Dear Chris, Percyval, Xerxenca, List,

I agree with Percyval. The body is designed for pleasure. As I've mentioned
a few times before, I see the chakras as pleasure centers--from the lower
sexual physical pleasure centers, to the heart chakra's emotional pleasure, to
the intellectual pleasures of the "higher" centers. One doesn't need to pursue
pleasure. It is already there to be enjoyed.

I don't think awakened masters need to pursue it. Distraction from what, is
the question. The pleasures of samadhi and equivalent can certainly be
distracting, from day to day activity. One learns to function within it, though. I
often think there is a new age Puritanism that sees the pleasures associated
with K awakening as somehow unspiritual.
