Who can you truly trust? On this issue I live a paradox whereby I trust
everyone and no one at the same time. It feels a like I hold both
possibilities in the same space at the same time. In other words I reserve an
element of caution/doubt but don't let it interfere with me having a full
experience. This might not sound possible but it is.

Well orthodox Judaism is very much focussed on this life and how to live it
and doesn't pay much attention to the after life. However they do fimly
believe that death is not the end of human existence and that reincarnation,
even though not focussed on as much as some other religions, is a reality.
There's the concern that if we depend on it, we won't extend ourselves in our
efforts for spiritual growth right here and now, since we can always "come
back and try again".

Kabbalah does believe in reincarnation. Two articles:

Yes. I stumbled across this site about 5 years ago when the Kabbalah classes
could be downloaded at no cost. Shortly after that payment was required. I
remember staying up day and night in front of my computer studying the
writings. I was profoundly affected by what I read. It was the first time I
had read anything that matched what I had always felt to be ultimate truth. I
had had a similar experience when I first read "Conversations with God" by
Neale Donald Walsch.... however I since met Mr Walsch and at that time was
dissapointed with the reality of the man. But I digress. What do I think of
Kabbalah.com now? I don't think anything of it. I don't really moved by them
any more, in the same way that the Conversations With God books no longer
light my fire. I learnt from it then and now my learning comes from different
sources.

The word is not important. What they mean by the word is what matters and I
am sure they don't mean the same as you when they use the word 'Guru'.

Bed time. Gnight :)
