> Tolerance is a virtue acquired by comprehension.
> Lack of comprehension leads to intolerance.

CASE 1 : AGREED THAT TOLERANCE IS A VIRTUE FOLLOWING UPON COMPREHENSION
Granting that tolerance is a virtue following upon comprehension, it is a
mere ideal.
And, all ideals are swingings to one or the other side of the spine
This is owing to the dominance of the Ida or the Pingala nerve at the
particular moment

Therefore, the virtue of tolerance is to be transcended
Although, it has the seed in itself to that which is beyond
And, that which is beyond is perception of the Dynamic Truth of the other
religions.
And, without allowing time to intervene, one has to translate the Dynamic
Truth of the other religion into action
A typical example is the following of non-violence by the Mahatma Gandhi
following the tenet laid down by Lord Jesus

CASE 2 : INVESTIGATING INTO WHAT 'TOLERANCE' REALLY MEANS
Now, let us examine what tolerance really means.
Tolerance has its origin in the Latin word 'tolerare' meaning to endure
To endure means to suffer something painful and long-lasting patiently
A person who feels thus about another religion has very little or no
comprehension

Tolerance means the ability to accept things one dislikes or disagrees with.
If a person dislikes another religion, it means he does not comprehend
If a person disagrees with another religion, he is still groping in the
externalities of that religion
And, that means lack of comprehension

Tolerance also means allowing something unpleasant to exist
Religions exist by the Will of God
Man cannot have any say in it
So, thinking that one is allowing another religion to exist, is egoism

Tolerance also means capable of being exposed to something without being
harmed
And, if a person thinks that he can expose himself to another religion
without being harmed by it,
he has very little comprehension about that religion

Thanks and kind regards
