I just realized my subject line about atheists wasn't really as appropriate
as it could've been. I'm not just blunt, I'm impulsive....I'm sorry if I'm
offending people with my style....

I'm not an atheist, I just don't know what to believe in at this point in my
life. Certainly, I have an open mind! I don't think I need formulas and
proof anymore, but I need more than I have, if that makes any sense. Just
because everybody else believes something hasn't been enough for me for
years ... that has to do with being made to go to church when I was a kid, I
suspect. And just because something's been around for millennia ... well,
that falls in the same category for me. It's not that I -know- there's no
such thing as a god or a goddess or a guardian angel, it's just I haven't
found a compelling enough reason to accept the idea and make it part of my
belief structure, I suppose.

A few days back, I read El Collie's account of her ultimate experience of
consciousness. That's probably as close as anything to what I believe
happens over and above the tangible physicality of our world, if that makes
sense. Like the Jungian concept, mixed in with the quantum idea of
decoherence, our planet -- well, it seems to me -- might be surrounded by a
great big thought bubble. That works for me ... until I extend out of the
atmosphere. *grins*

But besides all that, I do feel better spiritually these days, as the K
energy has pretty much taken away all that empty-'cause-there's-nothing-more
feeling I had for so long. *laughs*

Anyways, I just thought I should add this....
