Greetings, Kundalites!
I've been experiencing some interesting visual phenomena lately, and I
wonder if anyone here can offer me any clues as to what it means. I'd
like to understand it better.
I've felt energy, to a limited extent, all my life. Mostly as a mild
buzz in the spine and as a warm glow in the region of the heart. When I
began meditating a dozen years ago, I felt it in a more pronounced way.
Focusing on hands and forehead, I experienced a lot of energy in the
heart chakra. Combining meditation with prayer increased the energy.
Silently sounding vowel sounds alone, I discovered, was enough to light
a very pleasant glow in my heart, which often spread outward, and into
my head. I found myself "seeing" starlit expanses of space, through my
forehead, and seemingly, through the top of my head.
For a long time, that was the extent of my visual experience. I haven't
been able to observe auras or see healing energy yet.
I've changed my meditation somewhat. I meditate lying down with my eyes
closed. I usually begin with prayer (nice energy rush) and
self-enquiry(so far, no lasting breakthrough). Lately I've taken to
placing my left hand over the third chakra, and my right hand over my
heart chakra. I focus on breathing for a while, using vowel sounds, and
just feel the energy flowing in and out, flaring around the heart. I've
started focusing on each primary chakra, starting from the base. This
sends a fat slow bubble of energy up my spine and out the crown. I can
sort of visualise a showering umbrella of energy, but have yet to "see"
it. What I see, generally, are twinkling lights and the occasional
red-orange meteor-type thing. Lately, however, a new phenomena has begun
to present itself. It began as a slowly twisting funnel-cloud, sort of
like looking down into the eye of a purple tornado. Then, most recently,
purple clouds. Really BRIGHT purple clouds, which are sort of ejected
from the ajna chakra, and disappear into a pinpoint, one after the
other. It's like shooting photon torpedos. Out of my forehead. A few
days ago they started disappearing into a distinct triangle shape. Then
they started floating back, going over my head. Usually they just pulse
out for a while, then sort of reappear to swirl around dark shapes.
Pinpoints of white and yellow light flare and subside. A tiny blue light
flares slightly, but I haven't been able to focus on it very well. A
distinct mass of glowing red neon wire will appear at times. I can see
dim shapes amid the lights, but not really distinct objects. The lights
seem to flare most brightly as I focus on the forehead chakra. They are
preceeded by a sort of mesh screen. My awareness passes through a screen
each time, just before the purple cloud show begins. Sort of like
looking through a hammock or a chain link fence. The mesh screen
appears, then the purple clouds pulse out. Then various lights, followed
by relative darkness. Sometimes I am startled out of the process by a
strange phenomena. With a great flash of white or yellow light, I jump
out of my concentration. This is a strange sensation- like it might have
lasted a long time, but all I recall is a flash. So, my question,
finally...
What does it all mean? What is the significance, if any? The light show
is spectacular and pleasant, but I wonder if I'm missing some meaning.
Any advice on how to progress? This visual phenomena is new to me, and
I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm curious about what's on the other
side of the big flash. So I'll probably just keep doing my meditation,
and see what happens. If anyone has any insight into what I'm
experiencing, or what any of these visual phenomena mean, I'd really
appreciate any information you can share. Thanks! Michael
