Why, then, when you do not disappear when you close your eyes, that
the other things do?

I, however, not believe, but know that God is the supreme reality. :)
But from this, and from the belief in the existence of the world, it
follows that there must be another pole, the utter nonexistence as
the opposite to God, who is the ultimate existence. From that, it
follows the existence of evil. Think about it. It is possible for
something to exist and to be perceived, which is almost in fullness
devoid of the Divine manifestation. Call it negative energy if you
will, but at the point in which you acknowledge that there is a
difference in the spiritual quality between Jack the Ripper and St
Theresa of Avilla, you acknowledged the existence of evil. Mental
juggling doesn't change this observation.

This is true only in a certain context. For you see, there are
different ways of "focusing". Jesus was talking about evil in
about... let's see, more than 60-70% of the gospels. And no, they're
not counterfeits, the spiritual signature is there. He talked about
the devil, about hell, about evil and about damnation that follows
from the choice of evil. And, focusing on the evil, he did not become
evil himself. Krsna, too, in the chapter 16 of the Bhagavad-gita
spoke extensively about evil and the evil ones. That, however, did
not make him evil, either. Actually, I would say that by describing
evil, they helped others identify and reject it, thus in fact helping
defeat it. From that, it follows that focusing on a thing might
actually destroy it, if you focus in a right way. Focusing on the
weeds in your garden will help keep it in good order. Failing to
recognize the weeds will result in their growth, and thus in chaos.

Then you must also believe that the dentist is to blame for the
caries, for he observes its existence and tells you about it.
The lack of discrimination creates theories such as "The sweet things
are good, for they are pleasant. However, the dentist is bad because
he causes me pain". Discrimination, however, tells us that the sweet
things are not good, because they corrupt the teeth, and the dentist
is good because he reduces and controls the damage that was already
done, by the very sweet things one might prefer to the dentist.
